Transport to Sapa: There are two ways to Sapa. You can go by train at Hanoi Railway Station. You should book the tickets early purchased in the holiday time. You also can take a bus to Sapa. – Hoang Phuong hotel, about 200 meters from the cathedral, 700 meters from bus station, next to the market and Ham Rong mountain, just quiet and affordable price, approximately 13$/ day
– Motel Mimosa beneath the market, acceptable price: 13$/ room/ night (with 2 single beds)
– Motels Spring. Price is about 13$/room with 1 double and 1 single bed. The motel is near Sapa market.

Travel destinations in Sapa: There are many points to visit in Sapa, however there are some key places you should not ignore: Ta Van village, Lao Chai village, Ta Phing village, Cat Cat Village, Ham Rong mountain, Silver waterfall. These points are not in the same direction and scatter around Sapa. You can rent a motorbike to go if you want to save money. The rent price is around 5.

Along the road from Sapa to Ta Van and Ta Phung villages, there are very beautiful terraces. Ta Phinh is a village of Red Dao people and you can use tobacco bath services here. Ta Van village is located in a valley with cloudy winter and spring. The road to Ta Van is also the way to Ban Ho and Sapa ancient rock. Standing on the top of Ham Rong mountain, you can overview the entire town of Sapa. If you like trekking, you can go to Ta Van or Cat Cat.

Ham Rong Mountain: is located immediately adjacent to the Sapa town, about 3 km away, so you can walk from the hotel to visit it. It may take a time of morning or afternoon. From the top of Ham Rong mountain, you will have the opportunity to enjoy panoramic of Sapa, Muong Hoa valley, Sa Pa, Ta Phin. Ta Phinh village: This village is located about 17km from the center of Sapa town to east. From the highway to village, you will come across beautiful valley of terraced fields, dirt roads lead you deep into the valley. In addition to discover Dao ethnic culture, you also have the opportunity to visit Ta Phin Cave nearby. The cave has many stalactites forming interesting shapes. Besides Dao villages in Ta Phinh, you can learn culture of other minority ethnics in Sapa, such as Ta Van, Y Linh Ho, Lao Chai ….

Sapa terraced fields: While traveling to Sapa, you can not miss terraced fields spreading all around Sapa town. Appropriate time to see the most beautiful terraces is usually from mid-September to mid-October, depending on the time of grain each year.

Food in Sapa: For regular meals and breakfast, you can go to food market near the square, opposite the cathedral, full of foods. All restaurants in Sapa have public outside menu for your choice. Sidewalk cafes are also available, for those who prefer junk food: barbecue, nem chua etc.

2 days 3 nights trip tip in Sapa: This is a proposed program based on my experience in Sapa. You go to Sapa by train or bus at night, and arrive to Lao Cai station on the morning. From here, you take bus to Sapa. After taking motel, you can rent a motobike to visit Ta Van village and ancient rocks, come back to have lunch at noon in Sapa town. Afternoon, you can visit Ta Phinh, take bath service of Dao people (or go to Silver waterfall, or Cat Cat village), come back to Sapa late afternoon. Day 2: walk to visit Ham Rong mountain, gardens down of moutain. After lunch, you can go shopping. On the day 2, you can also rent a motorbike to go remote locations. Afternoon get a bus back to Lao Cai and get train to Hanoi.
